We all like something better than the next person. If they have a standard card, we want a Gold. And then Platinum. And if we’re really lucky… black. This loyalty/upgrade/privilege routine is so ingrained in our consumer psyche that its stretched into many parts of our lives. But who would have thought it would enter into criminal behaviour? In Torrance, California, you can upgrade your cell for about $170 per day so you get kept away from the hive of scum of villainy. Sounds like Mr Bridger is alive and well – image source on link.
