gore tex brand experience southampton west quay

It seems every time we go to West Quay in Southampton there’s another opportunity to experience a brand. This time Gore Tex were giving you the opportunity to try out their clothes in their special climate change box. Basically it replicates extremes of temperature and shows you just how well the clothing performs. Having had a Gore Tex ski jacket some moons ago I’m already a convert although I was tempted to try the glove box on the other side of the stand which does the same as the main box but you have to keep hold of two ski poles. There weren’t too many willing volunteers but a great idea as you’re basically screwed if you buy crap equipment and it turns a tad chilly on the side of a mountain. This is active proof of why paying extra gets you the best equipment.
