Privium has been named as a cool brand in the Cool Branding 2007 awards. Privium basically takes a copy of your iris’ so you can peer into a scanner at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam and walk straight through border control without queuing. Awesome. It is a little weird carrying your iris’ on a card though. A bit Minority Report too. But saves you so much time if you’re a frequent traveller through the airport.
I also like the fact that they send you a regular newsletter with relevant information and offers. And more importantly it comes in a shiny silver envelope.
Other goings on at Schiphol airport (I spend some time there as you can probably tell from other posts) include a fuel for travel digital download centre that is created by Samsung but their branding is quite low key. I also like the Yam Yam noodle bar in the main terminal before you go through to departures.
